Highest Achievers Award

Congratulations to Andrea Kelly and John Gahan who achieved the Highest Marks in their Leaving Certificate Art exams. Andrea of Our Lady's College, Drogheda, achieved the highest mark overall in Art Higher Level (incl. Craftwork Mark), and John of Abbey Community College, Ferrybank, Waterford who achieved the highest mark in Art Ordinary Level (incl. Craftwork Mark) and the highest mark in the written section Ordinary Level (History & Appreciation). Congradulations also to Johanna Vonkietzell of Dunshaughun Community College, Co.

PDST Literacy in Art, Craft and Design

This Art workshop will focus on a number of useful teaching and learning methodologies, including: Lollipop Activity, Market Place and Figure it Out.
The Workshop will also focus on the Literacy in Art, Craft and Design resource produced by the PDST Art (Post-Primary) Team.

This year, as with the past two years, we are hosting a student exhibition at the annual ATAI conference. We hope to showcase a selection of the diverse talent on offer by our students from across the country.

National Conference 2014 'Where's your head at?'

A note for everyone's diary!!! The National Excutive are delighted to announce that the 2014 ATAI conference will take place over the weekend of the 10/11th of October in the Clayton Hotel, Galway. Information will arrive in all schools shortly with futher details, however if you want to be ultra organised why not book you hotel room now, mention the ATAI conference to avail of a special conference rate. This years line up is varied and very exciting, with a range of workshops we feel will benifit all our members. Don't forget to enter the 'What's the weirdest....' competition.

'What's the weirdest...?' competition

Dear Members,

We all know what a talented bunch we really are, and how our resources and artistic ability is highly integral to the running of most schools.

We're always willing to whip up a cake sale poster or a little something to help promote whatever week the school decides to focus on, be it 
science/maths/or friendship. 

EXHIBITION ON SCREEN will be screened in cinemas throughout Ireland from October 2014

This new venture which brings blockbuster art exhibitions from galleries around the world to cinemas. The upcoming season of EXHIBITION ON SCREEN follows the success of previous titles Leonardo Live from the National Gallery London, Manet from the Royal Academy of Art London and Munch from the Munch Museum and National Gallery Oslo. These special cinema events screened to over 1000 cinemas across more than 30 countries.
