The Art Teachers Association of Ireland

The Association of Art Teachers is one of the longest established Subject Associations in Ireland

It was set up in 1950 by Patrick Heney. It is run on a voluntary basis by and for qualified Art Teachers.

We are the formal voice of Art Teachers in Ireland, and have representatives on various educational committees – NCCA , SARG, InSEA.

Conference 2010

***UPDATE***

Information was posted out in May about the 5th National ATAI Conference, which is funded by the TPN (Teacher Professional Networks).

The Venue is the Camden Court Hotel, on Friday the 1st and Saturday the 2nd of October 2010.

There are still places available, however, places are limited to 150.

There will be a number of events on both the Friday & Saturday, including a Holiday weekend giveaway, thanks to the Landmark Trust. You can Download a booking form HERE

National Meeting: AGM

The next Annual AGM of the ATAI will take place in the Lecture Room in Collins Barracks on Saturday the 22nd of May between 13.45 until 16.30.

The Agenda will go out to members around the time of the Conference and an e-mail of the same will soon be sent out with an Agenda.

New Members are more than welcome to attend and can Join up on the day.
